Nidhoggr the Dragon Bust
thingiverse
My First Major 3D Printing Project. This marks the beginning of a dragon's head wall trophy. It features the head of Níðhöggr (also known as Nidhogger or Nidhogg), the serpent from Norse mythology that gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasil, the world tree. So far, my prints are at one quarter scale with full support materials. I'm still focusing on achieving a basic shape for the head, jaw, and neck, but I plan to add scale details and more horns along with horn detail later. My ultimate goal is to complete version 1 of this project by Halloween, where it will serve as the centerpiece of my spook alley display. Down the line, I aim to create movable eyes, a jaw mechanism, and neck joints for version 2.
