nicks hysteresis calibrator
thingiverse
Disclaimer: The most effective method for overcoming backlash is mechanical, but when other approaches fail, compensating for hysteresis can be accomplished in most firmware, including repetier, but marlin is still an exception. This design consists of a series of circles with integrated x and y hysteresis. Each circle is comprised of four quarters that cause the model to jerk inward or outward at its axis peaks. Beginning from the center, rows above the midpoint feature the right half shifted upward compared to the original design, while columns to the right of the middle display the top half shifted rightward compared to the original pattern. Every row further away from the center shifts the designated segments by an amount specified in the file name (e.g., 0.5 or 0.25 mm). Moving in the opposite direction reverses this effect. I tested this model using a thick nozzle, and your mileage may vary. Print Settings: Rafts: It Doesn't Matter Supports: It Doesn't Matter
