Nick i3 Y Belt

Nick i3 Y Belt

The new Prusa i3 design is praised, but the belt holder proves to be problematic for some users who seek clarification on its operation. The original design's concept of hole distance, height, and teeth position for proper belt and board fit has been improved upon by adding more clearance and a clamping mechanism for enhanced security. A 20mm M3 bolt and nut are required for assembly, with the top of the board being bolted in using a hex nut trap for a 3mm bolt (d=6mm). The mod is available as an STL file, featuring a parameter that adjusts hole/slit position. Further improvements for a perfect Prusa i3 are planned, and the design has been inspired by variations from other sources.
