Niagara Falls
thingiverse
Niagara Falls - Constructed using 1 arcsecond resolution SRTM data from the Space Shuttle is actually pretty cool stuff. This was made possible by using a new and unreleased version of SRTM2STL. If you're interested in seeing how this magic happens, head on over to github where you can find the source code for creating files at 3 arcsecond resolution - all available under the GNU license. To find it, simply go to github and search for SRTM2STL. If you plan on printing out Niagara Falls yourself, keep in mind that it's best to do so when it's nice and small. Trust me, I've been there before - trying to print big Raised Relief Maps using PLA just leads to warping galore! That being said, I have had some success with making bigger maps work, but you may find more luck if you're able to tame that pesky warping issue once and for all.
