Nexus7 Center Console Adapter (LHD) for Toyota GT86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ

This is an adapter for installing a Nexus 7 2013 in the center console of a Toyota86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ. It has been designed using the LHD version of the pre-facelift center console model. Status: - Printed, installed, fully tested and functioning properly - The center console cover's frame needs to be trimmed by several millimeters for optimal fitment Note: - The design could have been accomplished without trimming the frame, but this would have resulted in the tablet panel sitting too deep to utilize the full screen area for touch commands. To address this issue, I decided to trim the frame. - The cover remains compatible with the OEM headunit even after modification, allowing you to easily switch back if needed - The covers are made of grey PETG and were not treated further before installation. However, it is possible to change the color or surface finish by painting the covers, or to replace them altogether for a different hue or headunit Instructions: - Recommended material: PETG - Print the "cover_*" without supports at a layer height of 0.06mm - Print the "base_*" with screw holes facing downwards and use supports - For the "base_*", include a print pause at a layer height of 6mm to insert an M3 hexagon nut into both screw holes. Use glue stick to apply adhesive to the upper side of the inserted nut for better adhesion - Cut the frame of the OEM center console before inserting the "base_". Use the file "center_console_*" to see exactly how the cutting should be performed - Fix the "base_*" to the backside of the center console cover using 2-component PU adhesive - Insert the "cover_*" without any adhesives or glues. They will be secured in place by the tablet when applying the "clamp_*".
