Nexus S tripod mount
thingiverse
Initially, I designed a tripod mount for my Nexus S to avoid any potential accidents due to its height above the hard floor. Many similar prints available on Thingiverse didn't meet my requirements, so I decided to share this one hoping it might fit other phones as well. The mount is secured with a screw, minimizing the chances of your phone falling out. The quick-release pad is designed for a Rekam DigiPod RT-M45 tripod, but I'm not sure if a standard exists for those. To print this design, you can either print one part at a time or as a set that fits on a Makerbot. In case of the latter, please ensure the dimensions are compatible with your printer. The nut used is an M6 nut, which might not fit the 1/4" standard tripod screw commonly found in metric countries. However, you can still use it with some sticking power. For using it with the quick-release pad, attach it with a short M6 screw. The clamps are held together by an M4 screw and nut, and require the use of a screwdriver for setting up or releasing your phone.
