Nexus 7 (2013) Qi Wall mount

thingiverse

I decided to design my own Nexus 7 mount from scratch, tailored specifically to meet my needs. My trusty old 2013 Nexus 7 had been collecting dust and I wanted to hang it on the wall to display my Home Automation and Security camera feeds prominently. My Qi charger came from kogan.com.au, but it may also work seamlessly with other qi chargers available in the market. The cut out in the model is precisely 11mm deep and 70mm wide. To ensure a successful print job, you'll need to provide supports for the tablet clips if you decide to reprint the mount. Printing it on its side without supports might be possible, but only if the screw holes line up correctly. For optimal results, it's recommended to print the mount in ABS or PETG for added strength and durability. If you're using PLA, make sure to set your printer settings to 3 or 4 shell skin layers and a decent infill percentage of at least 15-20%. Update - January 28th: After some issues with my initial design, I made the 10-degree bracket significantly stronger by modifying it. I also increased its width by about 10mm to ensure added stability. Furthermore, I included an offset screw option for those who may need it. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Wanhao Printer Model: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Infill: 15-20% Note: You'll need to provide supports for the tablet clips if you print the mount back down to the bed.
