Nexus 6P Phone stand
thingiverse
Well, for a first attempt, it wasn't half bad but had a couple of hitches. 1. The hole for the cable is a mighty snug fit, next time I will make it slightly looser. 2. It's quite bulky, next time it will be much leaner. 3. I allowed a generous margin for the case, too lavish for the width but not liberal enough for the back of the case. The phone fits just fine, but it's a bit cramped! 4. The rounded front edges don't leave sufficient space to create a stable stand. Next time, I will make them wider. Watch out for version 2! This is my very first Thingiverse creation, so any feedback would be warmly appreciated. It's a charging stand for a Nexus 6P. There's a slot for the USB C cable with some extra space for it to pass through the back of the stand. I've allowed plenty of room for a phone case, and I've included the Sketchup file if you want to tweak the settings to get a tighter fit for your own case. To print this design, I rotated it so that it laid flat on its front face (70 degrees). Print Settings Printer: Chinese Mini Delta Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.06 layer height with 1.75mm PLA Notes: PLA settings, 210 degree hotend temp, 60 degree bed temperature. Stuck well to a single layer of green Frog Tape, widely available in the UK.
