The Nexus 6P stand is specifically designed for use without a case, but can be used in conjunction with a phone skin. The addition of ridges ensures that the phone remains securely positioned within the dock when not connected via a USB cable. Unfortunately, this stand does not support charging using the original charge cable. Its primary purpose is to serve as a convenient phone stand, not for charging purposes.
