Nexus 5X Stand

I use my Nexus 5X to interface with Octoprint, so I needed a convenient way to keep the phone within easy reach of the printer. My first solution was this stand that allows me to place my phone next to the printer in a dedicated holder for instant access. Although I later changed my setup and replaced it with a bracket that attaches directly to the printer frame, if you prefer having a separate stand, this one would be an excellent option. The power and volume buttons are accessible, but you will need a tool to reach them. In my specific case, I didn't require access to these buttons because my phone was serving as a dedicated TouchUI controller, and I had installed an app that allowed me to unlock the device by simply touching the screen. The charging port is easily accessible, and there's even a channel to run the charging cord through the bottom of the stand. If you're searching for a bracket specifically designed for the Nexus 5X that mounts directly to a Monoprice Maker Select, I recommend checking out this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3540726. This stand was created with the intention of holding a phone semi-permanently in an application where quick access to the power and volume controls is not necessary. Due to its tight fit, it's not ideal for everyday use as a phone stand that requires frequent insertion and removal. Instead, it's perfect for dedicated Octoprint controllers or any other kiosk-type applications.
