Nexus 5X Bike Mount

Nexus 5X Bike Mount

I crafted a sturdy mount for my Nexus 5X so I can ride my bike and catch all the Pokémon on the go. The three parts attach securely with five 4mm x 20mm hex bolts that I had conveniently available. However, I recommend using a longer bolt for the pivot point to avoid any squeaks. This mount is designed to be placed in the middle of your handlebars, held firmly in place by two zip ties. Yes, $1 worth of zip ties are holding $400 worth of phone - go figure. I printed this custom mount on my MOD-T printer with the following settings: I used rafts to ensure a solid foundation and set the supports to not matter at all since they weren't needed. The print resolution was set to 0.4 mm, and the infill density was 15%. To prevent any drooping, I printed internal support rafts along with the mount. After printing, I sanded down the rough edges and applied some tape around the corners to protect my phone from scratches. I used PLA filament for this project, and it turned out great!
