Nextion 7″ 3D Print Files (.STL): I downloaded Nextion’s original print file from their website for the 7″ model, but I didn’t like that it was designed to fit outside a cutout (like a standard control panel board), for my application, I wanted a “flush” mounted look. This remixed design allows the Nextion screen to be pushed into place, creating a "flush" fit. Additionally, I’ve modified the x4 threaded nut insert posts by making them thicker, allowing for brass inserts to be melted into place (use a soldering iron – 250C – melt the insert into the model until it’s 90% of the way seated, remove the soldering iron, use a flat surface to press it in the remining 100% of the way) without having to worry about the columns melting/warping due to the excess heat. (Use M2.5×6 brass threaded inserts) Link: (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832703922707.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.15.2fed1802L9rt0h&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa) Steps: 1. Print the Nextion 7.0 Frame file. 2. Melt the x4 brass threaded inserts into place. 3. Align your Nextion with the threaded inserts and screw it into place. 4. Install your power and or IO ribbon cable. 5. Print out the HMI Insert file (edit this model to fit it into whatever project you’re using your Nextion for) 6. Press fit the Nextion/frame into the HMI Insert. Enjoy!
