Nexstar Evolution Side bracket for Hand Controller

Nexstar Evolution Side bracket for Hand Controller

Currently, the Celestron Nexstar Evolution hand controller (HC) clips onto the tripod. As the telescope spins it binds the cable up or worse, breaks it. So, I designed and printed this. This attaches to the side as shown. To complete, you need: * One 3 inch 1/4 inch bolt 20 thread * One 4 inch 1/4 inch bolt 20 thread * One wing nut 20 thread * One acorn nut 20 thread * 1 nylon lock nut 20 thread * 1 washer Assemble: * The three inch bolt hold the two parts together, use the lock nut, trim to size. * The four inch bolt clamps it together. Find the right length fully open with the wing nut and washer, cut it to size and use the acorn nut with a little thread lock. The acorn nut will prevent you from losing the wing nut (ever look for a wing nut in the dark? It's not fun...) I sprayed Plasti Dip on the griping surfaces so it wouldn't slip up or down. Being for a Celestron telescope, naturally I printed it in translucent orange PETG. Note: Added an STL and STEP for the HC to be on a hinge to rotate 90 degrees. New files: * Side_Braket_for_HC_with_Hinge.step * Side_Braket_for_HC_with_Hinge.stl Just add a new bolt and wing nut.
