Get a sheet of Baader Planetarium AstroSolar solar filter 20 x 29 cm. Print it out and you'll be ready to go. After printing, take a moment to sand down any imperfections on the inner ring's flat spot. Next, draw a slightly larger circle around the inner ring. Cut it out carefully, then place it on top of the outer ring and insert the inner ring into its new home. If everything looks good, apply some glue to seal both parts together. I used ABS and acetone for this purpose. Once dry, you'll have a sturdy solar filter that's ready to use. To add an extra layer of protection, print out a cover for your solar filter. This will prevent it from getting damaged or torn. And remember, when looking at the sun, always protect your eyes and equipment with caution. Finally, use some leftover solar filter sheet to create a filter for your finder scope. For example, if you have a standard red dot finder, you can print out a custom filter just for it.
