Newtonian Telescope Parametric - default 200mm f1200mm 40mm
prusaprinters
This Newtonian Telescope is fully parameterized, the default values are main mirror 200mmxf1200 and secondary 40mm.It is more compact to print and more stable when mounted than other projects, easier also to colimate. ps.: It is a personal project, with a lot of bugs and things to improve, although I'm proud of seeing it working. BOM:Around 1.5kg of PLA.4 Alumunium rods (hollow), with 13 mm diameter and 1.2m length.4 M4x35mm Screws - Mount dovetail4 M4x35m screws - Spider and mirror cell3 M3x20 screws - for main mirror colimation1 good compression coil (1 mm wire diameter or lesser).Electric tape to fix the pieces when the contact and tolerance doesn't hold.Total cost without mirrors 80 dollars.Printing and fitting:Total of 36 hours printing on a Voron Trident with 0.3mm layer height, 10 % infill, and 200mm/s. There is no need for supports. You can fix the rods with electrical tape for tightness, but not fixed fitting.I recommend printing 2 Center Holders for a better fixation (even with a dovetail if needed.)This project is one of my last versions but is still under some testing. Feel free to remix and modify it as needed. You can change the parameters in the fusion 360 as you need. Default parameter values: PrinterTolerance = 0.3mm (I like a loose tolerance for easy fittings with the rods) RodDiamater = 13 mm MirrorDiameter = 203mm (8 inches main mirror)FocusLength = 1200mm Focus Length for the main mirror WallDistance = 2 mm (distance from the rod fittings and the wall of the piece)BaseThread = 4mm Thread diameters for most of the thread roles in the base and focuser.SecondaryMirrorDiamater = 40mm FocuserHoleDiameter = 41 mm FocuserMountScrewsExternalWith = 70 mm (the external distance between the borders of the holes used to fix the focuser)FocuserMountScrewsExternalHeight = 42mm (the external distance between the borders of the holes used to fix the focuser)FocuserScrewsMountHolesWidth = 4mm my focuser used 4mm screws.
