Newtonian Telescope Cap

I highly recommend updating the "xycorr" variable to a compensation value tailored specifically to your individual printer's needs. For my own printer, the default value works perfectly. To determine the correct value for your printer, simply print a calibration cube and divide its measured size by the theoretical size. This is a dust cap designed to protect my Newtonian telescope (MEADE 114EQ-DH). The handle and cap are printed separately to achieve a superior surface finish, and they snap together with a satisfying click. My own print of this design fits flawlessly. Since achieving tight part tolerances for a friction fit can be challenging, I've added thin leafsprings to compensate for any potential errors. When customizing the cap for a different bore size, the .scad file will automatically undersize the part according to the "clr" variable. The parameters are clearly explained with comments, but if you need further clarification on anything, please don't hesitate to ask. As Einstein so aptly put it: "I have no special talent; I am only passionately curious."
