News Paper Briquette Maker
thingiverse
The Newspaper Briquette Maker helps you recycle old paper documents into easy-to-make briquettes for a fire. Simply soak paper in a bucket and load it into the bottom half of the device, put the top on, and compact it using the wooden handle. Then push up on the bottom plate to release the newly formed brick, set it out to fully dry, and repeat. This device was made with 3/8 inch steel rod, but anything that can fit in the holes and withstand some force will also work. The handles were made from a 1x4 piece of wood I had on hand. You'll need to cut four pieces that are 1x.75 inches long, each 12 inches long. For the ends of the handle, you'll need one piece that's 4.25 inches long and another that's 5.75 inches long, both 1x1.5 inches. Using eight 1.25 inch flat top screws, anchor the tops to the handle.
