New Y clamp for hypercube evo (tension release)
thingiverse
Just like how my A8's X-belt tensioner works, the mod releases the clamping force from the X bearings to the 2 x-rods.\r\n\r\nIn CoreXY design, as your belts get tighter, your Y-carriage (2 of them) have a tendency to become closer to each other, but they can't, they are held by the Y-bearings. Thus, you end up with bending your bearings towards the rods.\r\n\r\nI made M3 and M4 nut versions.\r\n\r\nAnd a plug for carbon fiber rods (that is what I'm using, as the CB rods are hollow).\r\n\r\nChoose correct length M4/M3 bolts.\r\n\r\nTighten your belt, and double-check the rods. Your bearing should only be doing "guiding," but any tension force from your belt.\r\n\r\nBy adding this mod, your belt tension is finally withstood by your X-rods. You can use 2 of these clamps, but one should be enough; make sure the other end (the other Y carriage) are tightened.\r\n\r\nYou wouldn't need this mod if you know what I am talking about and are confident about your X gantry setup (both X rods tightened so no force is transferred to your Y bearings).
