Well I finally got around to doing this new much requested version of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. I did the first version when the schematics were made public in 2019 at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Now as the temple is due for inauguration in 2023, I present to you new versions that are much easier to print. Check out the Reel here:https://www.instagram.com/p/C0_LTpjymQe/The original free 210mm version had slender columns and many people had trouble with the print. However the STL was extensively tested and even today a Featured model on Printables.com. This new version is much more robust and will print on any FDM machine. The original FREE model is available at these links:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4812417https://www.printables.com/model/61978-ayodhya-ram-temple-no-supports-requiredhttps://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-ayodhya-ram-temple-no-supports-required-185203https://than.gs/m/35980Update #9The STL of Thicker_Columns_Sep_Flag replaced by 3MF with fixed geometryUpdate #8Bambu Lab A1,X1C Print profiles for both versions (With and without columns) created and uploaded. Note that the file in the zip folder is the old version. The new version is “Full_210mm_THICKER_COLUMNS_FIXED.stl” and you can find it in the root folder. Also updating the preview images with a brighter renderIncluded in Update # 6 (continued from the Free version)New Version with much thicker columns! Many non Prusa printers had trouble printing the columns. So in this version the column thickness is increased to 2.5mm square. This should allow for a higher margin of error and ensure printing on a variety of printers. Two versions included, with and without flag. Two flag designs also included. There's also a 3mf file with flag oriented to print properly.New Version with NO COLUMNS!This version has all the volume between the columns filled in. So its essentially sealed on all sides while still showing the outer columns in profile. This means there is no overhangs or bridging. This version will be the easiest to print and only slightly less beautiful. Two versions, with and without flag. 3mf included.New Five Part Version with thicker columnsThis is the same essential model as (1) but pre split into five separate parts. The parts will help with printing larger sizes. Also Included is the Eight Part Version from the original Free post. Here the column size is 2x of the original and should print just fine on most printers. This version is primarily for Extra large size printing. Included for your convenience. The original free version also included in the package. For for those who are discovering this model/structure only recently, here's a little background:The Ayodhya Ram Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Ram located in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. Its significance lies in the belief that it stands at the birthplace of Lord Ram, a revered deity in Hinduism. The structure is designed in the North Indian Negara architectural style which is vertically oriented, with the Shikara (tower) being the central focus. This verticality symbolizes the ascent towards the divine. The main temple is 235 feet (72 m) wide, 360 feet (110 m) long and 161 feet (49 m) high. The temple complex is the world's third largest Hindu shrine. The building will have a total of 366 columns. The columns will have 16 idols each to include the incarnations of Shiva, the 10 Avatars of Vishnu, the 64 Chausath Yoginis, and the 12 incarnations of the goddess Saraswati. The original design for the Ram temple was devised in 1988 by the Sompura family of Ahmedabad. The construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple is seen as a momentous event for Hindu devotees and a symbol of religious and cultural revival. It also represents an important chapter in India's history due to the resolution of the contentious Ayodhya dispute.Learn more here:https://swarajyamag.com/news-brief/nagara-architecture-of-ayodhyas-magnificent-ram-mandir-explained-with-pictureshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_MandirVideo Link for the Making/Printing of the ORIGINAL model: https://youtu.be/sEfSoRJSK-wIf you liked the original model, consider supporting VedicFutura by purchasing VedicFutura Models.
