I attempted printing the original version of this model and what emerged from the printer seemed to be a defective GCODE. Further examination revealed that the STL file is not as flat as initially assumed, which caused all sorts of problems during the print process. So I went ahead and simplified the object, flattening it in the process. This resulted in a smaller size that printed without any issues at all.
