New Power Button Holder for D-Bot
thingiverse
I rewired the Power button and installed a buck converter just like this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ultra-small-LM2596-power-supply-module-DC-DC-BUCK-3A-adjustable-buck-module-regulator-ultra-LM2596S/659942135.html?spm=2114.01010208.3.76.xy4QVa&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_6_10065_10068_10000009_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10060_10061_10062_10056_10055_10054_10059_10099_10078_10079_427_10073_10103_10102_10096_10052_10050_10051,searchweb201603_2,afswitch_3&btsid=a99135fb-865a-4606-840c-3b950a4ec68a in a separate compartment. The mains goes directly to your PSU which I then feed back into the buck converter with 12v voltage which drops it down to 5v, powering my Pi from there. The USB cable is a short one at just 250mm long, sourced from here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FQGWBYQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This setup should do the trick.
