New Makita Dust Boot
thingiverse
This is a custom Dust boot designed specifically for the Makita Router. Multiple other designs have been attempted, but none of them have met my expectations. The part was printed at 0.2 layer height with 10% infill using Hatchbox black PLA on an Ender 3 pro. A flexible dust skirt from McMaster Carr and a 1/4-20 threaded knob from Amazon are required for proper operation. After printing, I used a 1/4-20 tap to thread the hole for the knob. This boot was created in Fusion 360. For optimal performance, a strip brush and a knurled clamping knob are recommended. The strip brush can be found at McMaster-Carr: https://www.mcmaster.com/strip-brushes/=95baddc6c9894f7dbb73849b1f53e1dck6cqsrr7. The threaded knob is available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/DimcoGray-Black-Phenolic-Knurled-Clamping/dp/B0015HMZ2S/ref=sr_1_21?crid=HM1Z7Y5EBRJ8&keywords=threaded+knob+1%2F4-20&qid=1581114879&sprefix=threaded+knob+1%2F4%2Caps%2C450&sr=8-21
