New kind of tight-fit saw guide
thingiverse
The slots of this saw guide are narrower at the top, resulting in a tight fit with minimal wobble compared to standard saw guides. To begin sawing, you must slide the saw sideways into the slots with its teeth positioned in the wide bottom section. The maximum object size that can be sawed is approximately 28 by 80 millimeters in cross-section. I have designed boxes with various slot widths for different types of saws. Filename, blade width (mm), and tooth width (mm) are listed below: A: 1.21 2.18 B: 1.21 1.69 C: 0.97 1.77 D: 0.97 1.36 E: 0.78 1.40 F: 0.78 1.09 G: 0.63 1.13 H: 0.63 0.88 I: 0.50 0.90 J: 0.50 0.70 I have also created test.stl, which can be printed first to determine the correct size. It is tilted at 17 degrees to lie between the 90 and 45-degree angles of the box. Slicers and printers may vary gap settings depending on overhang. Fusion360 source files are included for reference.
