New & Improved Two-piece Midwest Gas Can Spout 2023

2023 New and Improved two-piece version of my earlier design Pour Spout to replace the "so called" spill proof nozzle. These seal perfectly and work very well. Easy to use. No leaks. No spills. The flanged section of the nozzle is threaded to match the threads inside the nut. This provided a larger flat section for proper support of the square o-ring and captures the nut when the nozzle is removed from the gas can. I also designed a Gas Can Cap with an o-ring to prevent gasoline from leaking and spilling when going to the gas station to refill the can. There are no changes to the Gas Can Cap design. I recommend loosening the Gas Can Cap when in storage to prevent the gas can from pressurizing and it is easier on the 3D printed part and easier on the gas can. The new and improved Pour Spout with an o-ring, has its own vent hole and pours smoothly when trying to fill something small like a lawn mower gas tank. My pour spout can be used without spilling or dripping gas. There is also a Pour Spout Cap to keep the Pour Spout clean. I recommend loosening the Pour Spout Nut to release compression on the o-ring and it is easier on the 3D printed part. There is a video on the design and use of the new and improved Pour Spout. Tips are gladly accepted and much appreciated. Note: The PLA suffered discoloration and failure after 1-1/2 years in the presence of gasoline (petrol) and gasoline vapor.
