New Flyer D60LFR Bus

New Flyer D60LFR Bus

thingiverse

A model of the New Flyer D60LFR 60-foot articulated diesel bus. This is ready to print at North American N-scale (1:160), and was designed with that size in mind, but feel free to try printing at different scales. For scaling purposes, the real deal is 18.5 metres long (~61 feet). For now, I opted for a solid print with only modest details, and left out a few fiddly pieces which will need to be added post-printing: * wheels and axles * exhaust pipe * side mirrors If I get access to a resin printer soon, I might try a significantly more detailed model, so this is a work-in-(semi)-progress. This model doesn't actually bend in the middle, so there are two files for printing, one straight and one posed as if it were turning. The model is symmetric side-to-side, so you can get a right-hand-turn by mirroring the bent model. This is one of two varieties of articulated bus currently (as of 2019) operating in Ottawa Ontario, and this is the newer and "sleeker" of the two. I may model the slightly older D60LF sometime. *Photo credit: [Mariordo (Mario Roberto Duran Ortiz) - Own work, CC BY-SA 3.0](https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=17480792)*
