Noticed that when printing the original, the face couldn't be printed in the correct silver or gray color if the base was done in white. Also, the star needed a deeper hole to print correctly with a multilayer single extruder setup. Those were the only two adjustments made to the STL when remixing it. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Doesn't matter Notes: Printed at 70% height to save time, so values used in Simplify3D reflect that separation. Combined four G-Code files created with start and stop at height features for the final result. Process: Begin by using the cross-section view tool in Simplify3D to find the Z height where splitting the model into separate processes is desired. Try to make "cuts" at spots where layers would normally slice the model. Each process starts or stops where the next color should begin or end. Adjust start scripts for each process so the nozzle moves up to the correct height before doing anything else, then create individual print files for each process. Remember to change material settings in the files according to the filaments used. Change loaded materials on the printer between each print file and a wonderful-looking print will result.
