Remixing a Dial Caliper from Angry Monks As part of my ongoing quest to create innovative tools, I stumbled upon an intriguing project that caught my attention. The original design, crafted by the talented makers at Angry Monks, features a dial caliper with a unique twist. Their creative approach sparked my imagination, and I decided to put my own spin on it. The first step was to carefully disassemble the existing device, taking note of its intricate mechanisms and precise measurements. This process allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the caliper's inner workings and identify areas where improvements could be made. With a newfound appreciation for the original design, I set out to reimagine the dial caliper with my own brand of creativity. I began by replacing the traditional metal components with durable, high-quality plastics that would withstand heavy use.
