I enjoyed kalazzerx's reel, but I envisioned the main axis to be bolted together rather than relying on a spring fit. So, I redesigned the axis. Additionally, I left the center open with drain holes to allow weights to be added and water to flow freely for rinsing and ballast purposes - I utilized a couple of 1/4"-20 nuts for this functionality. This modification might also serve as an effective rattle component, but I still need to test its performance underwater. To assemble the device, you will require two 6-32x3/4" machine screws and two 6-32 pozi-lock (nylok) nuts. The ballast weights can be any materials that fit within the design parameters, and I also included a key ring on the loop for convenient carabiner attachment.
