New articulated ammonite (shell, head and tentacles) flexible print-in-place
thingiverse
This model represents a living ammonite. I really like the articulated model of lexlang, but I wanted to make some changes: - a new shell because the shell of the model seems damaged (the original model seems to represent a fossilized shell). Finally, I propose three different models (one is based on the torreyproctor model) - two different files for the body and the shell, in order to have two different colors. Shells must be printed vertically with supports. I printed as well the body with supports (but there are very few). The "auto-orientation" plugin in Cura is very useful to print in the best orientation. Enjoy :) PS : if you like my model, don't hesitate to like and post a make. I would like to see how you printed it! Thank you :) UPDATE 03/18/23 : a new shell was added (heteromorph shell, cf 3rd picture). Enjoy =)
