A USB Gadget to Transform Your Gestures into Keyboard and Mouse Events. [nevma](https://i.imgur.com/ERky5xN.jpg) ## Overview Nevma, meaning "gesture" in Greek, is a simple device that translates hand gestures into keyboard and mouse input. Just plug it into your USB port and wave through presentations, documents, pictures, songs, and more. ## How It Works Nevma implements two main functions: gesture recognition and keyboard and mouse event generation over USB. The former uses the APDS-9960 sensor while the latter utilizes the ATMega32U4 chip's USB HID capabilities. Nevma can recognize a variety of gestures by default, including swipe left, right, up, down, and moving closer or further from the sensor using the Sparkfun library. ## Components * Nevma board PCB (https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/Nevma__Gesture_control_for_the_masses.html) * 3D printed case (https://www.tinkercad.com/things/h5ymCb1lX3J) * Mini SS Micro ATMEGA32U4 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Arrival-Mini-SS-Micro-ATMEGA32U4-Pro-Micro-Module-Board-Compatible-For-Arduino/32777411276.html) * APDS-9960 module (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/GY-9960LLC-APDS-9960-RGB-and-Gesture-Sensor-Module-I2C-Breakout-for-Arduino/32746930049.html) ## Media [Watch Nevma: Gesture Control for the Masses](https://platis.solutions/blog/2017/11/27/nevma-gesture-control-for-the-masses/)
