This innovative ventilator is a game-changing solution for the COVID-19 crisis, offering a low-cost and low-part-count design that can be easily manufactured. The core innovation lies in its fully 3D printable "airflow manifold," which features paths for air, integrated 3D printed check and ball valves with motor actuation, and slots for sensors. By eliminating unnecessary valves and tubing, this design enables rapid production at a lower cost. Our ventilator concept utilizes a centrifugal blower, a custom control system based on a Microchip PIC24 microcontroller, and off-the-shelf sensors to meet the strict requirements outlined by Ximedica.
