Neustruder Upper Block ReMix
thingiverse
I constructed a Neustruder for my Ender 3. The printer's design made some installation elements quite challenging. This reworked upper block addresses one of those challenges. The left side upright poses a problem when trying to access screws on the front face with a wrench or hex drive screwdriver. It is much easier to do this from the back. This remix adds reliefs that hold nuts on the upper block's face, allowing it to be tightened from the back. Seeing how much the screw extends from the nut also aids in even tightening. Print this exactly as the original was printed, with no special instructions required. As a side note, the Z axis screw interferes with using a large fitting on the input side. Since I wanted one on the output side, I added some 4mm OD 2mm ID stainless tubing to the input side as a guide for the filament to prevent erosion by the moving filament on the extruder body (something I learned about the hard way). A short piece of bowden tube would also work well if it can be securely attached. Alternatively, you could rotate the Neustruder body orientation and have plenty of room, along with seeing the screw engagement of the nuts in the original reliefs. However, this would require reversing the stepper motor direction.
