Network Cable J-Hook
thingiverse
I'm thrilled to share my first significant contribution to the Thingiverse community. I recently stumbled upon similar J-Hooks being sold online for $5.50 US, but I scoffed at the price - no way could I print this valuable item for a quarter of that amount? So, after many hours and numerous revisions, here is my network cable J-Hook design. I've found that it works perfectly well at 50% fill rate, but you may want to consider printing it with 75% or even 100% fill for added durability, especially if you're using a power drill to screw it in. The increased plastic usage won't be noticeable on such a small item. To secure the velcro, I employed rolls of hook and loop velcro from Lowes - a simple yet effective solution. First, wrap the loop side around the front of the J-hook, then pass it under the hook, up the back, through the slot, over the top of the hook, and finally back to the starting point, creating a secure loop. I'm excited to share this design with you - enjoy and let me know what you think!
