The Velcro straps intended to keep the collapsed gate assembled parted ways rapidly in my instance after some use and I also discovered it quite cumbersome to strap it around the two rods. So I devised a solution that works flawlessly. Simply snap it into place and snap it out. The snap mechanism operates smoothly (on one side, the other is designed to remain in position once it's been secured). Print with semi-flexible material using 100% infill. A soft Ninjaflex-like material may not provide sufficient strength for this application, but you can certainly give it a try.
