The Neti Bottle Cap lets you turn a regular plastic beverage bottle into a neti pot for nasal rinsing and irrigation with lukewarm salt water.

During the COVID-19 pandemic there's been a lot of talk of hand hygiene. However, nasal hygiene is not getting much attention—even when one of the main ways of getting infected is through the respiratory system

Using a neti pot for nasal hygiene is an old Indian tradition that has served me well for alleviating allergies, flus, and colds. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasal_irrigation.

My dad and I both find this new design superior to the traditional neti pot designs because you get a better flow of water through the nasal cavities and it's easier to pour the saline solution due to the ergonomics.

The two measuring cups on the sides of the cap are for measuring salt to mix isotonic salt water that is tolerated by our noses. The big one is for 300 ml of water; the small one for 100 ml.

There are two indents on the snorkel to help you shorten it if your bottle cannot accommodate the full length.

It was a fun process iterating through experiments and prototypes to arrive at the final design as illustrated on the photo.

Patent Pending

Print instructions

Slice without support if you are doing you own slicing.
