Began printing Thing:711906 and observed it was printing in two separate pieces. Cura 14.12.1 sliced the longer bracket from Thing:711906 with a cut down its middle section, possibly leaving behind an artifact in this region. The presence of the artifact may be due to slicing settings or some other factor entirely. It remains unclear whether the original thing (Thing:703700) that this remix originated from displays similar artifacts upon examination. Running the Longer_bracket.stl through Netfabb's online capabilities led to a complete elimination of the artifact, though actual print results are yet unknown. Attached is a screenshot displaying the first layer of both models as part of this investigation. Printing of this piece has yet to begin; nevertheless, an update on slicer settings planned for use during production: Instructions remain incomplete; it appears the original print file contains information about using at least 50% infill density for optimal results. In contrast, an attempt is being made with less infill as an alternative approach. Additional intended slicing parameters for this piece include: - Utilizing three-millimeter PLA filament as material - Operating the print bed at fifty-five degrees Celsius, followed by a decrease to forty-five degrees Celsius once initial layers are complete - Maintaining a temperature of one-hundred-eighty-five degrees Celsius within the hot end section - Generating two distinct walls as part of this build - Proceeding with three hundredth-millimeter layer thickness levels - Printing at speeds of fifty millimeters per second.
