NestEgg - A Naturally Unnatural Birdhouse
cults3d
My second entry into the #POLYMAKERCHALLENGE. A little tweak here, a little hue there... It doesn't take much for something organic to become... artificial. A small egg-shaped birdhouse perches atop a vibrant branch, or is it a neuron enveloping a neuroreceptor? This marks my second "Inspired by Nature" piece that marries functionality with nature's elegance, filtered through the lens of modernist design. The "nest" was modeled entirely in Fusion 360, whereas the branch was first created in Fusion 360 and later refined in Sculptris and Blender. I've broken down the models to print them as smoothly as possible and assemble them with adhesive. Supports are needed from the bed only.
