Nested rings fidget toy

Nested rings fidget toy

thingiverse

A simple-to-print fidget toy consists of permanently nested rings that can roll and shift around freely. This toy is completely customizable, but it appears that the Customizer on Thingiverse is currently experiencing some issues, so you'll need to manually render the files yourself. Two distinct styles are available; the biconical style allows the rings to move along their axis while remaining solidly nested together. The spherical style features a snug fit. Both styles enable the rings to tumble and spin freely like in a gimbal. I highly recommend printing the rings with colored edge bands by changing the filament during printing. To achieve a transparent band like one of the examples, be sure to set the options to thin out that band accordingly. Also available on GitHub: https://github.com/kpreid/3dp-nested-rings
