Nest thermostat - heatlink bezel
thingiverse
Here's a simple backplate for the Nest Heatlink - it attaches with double-sided sticky foam and covers messy holes from the old thermostat, giving it a clean look. I used thick layers because that's what worked best for me. The Heatlink is usually placed near the boiler or heating wiring box. In my case, however, I've taken a different approach by swapping out the old programmer and thermostat with the Nest Heatlink since I think it's better to have the actual Nest thermostat in the living room rather than the hallway. It's also easier to wire this way (live, neutral, water, radiators). The heatlink has a handy 12v supply that I'm looking forward to using for some fun project one day. Thanks to bytesandbolts for suggesting this idea.
