I purchased a Nest Protect first generation device from an online retailer, but unfortunately, it did not come equipped with the necessary plug. Determined to find a solution, I designed a custom adapter that would fit snugly into my power outlet. Using two wire connectors specifically designed for GPIO-style pins, I was able to successfully connect the device and it is now functioning flawlessly.
