Nest Hello mounting plate
thingiverse
I've got a 100-year-old house and I'm trying to install a new Nest Hello doorbell on an old electrical box that's way too small. The problem is that it won't cover the existing electrical box, so I came up with a solution - a mounting plate that does three things: it has screw holes lined up perfectly with the original electrical box, matches the Nest Hello's mounting holes for easy installation, and is big enough to cover the old box entirely. This way, it also covers up the screw holes in my stucco where the old doorbell used to be mounted. Check out my blog post for more details - maybe this will work for you too if you've got an old electrical box like mine!
