My friend recently acquired a Nest Hello doorbell but encountered a challenge due to his outside wall being covered in feather-edge cladding. This presented an issue because mounting the Nest doorbell on this surface meant that the camera would be facing upwards, rendering it essentially useless for its intended purpose. I discovered Taylor Sean's Nest Hello mounting bracket, which can be found at Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2992013), to be a simple, functional and elegant solution. I decided to modify this design slightly to accommodate the 4-degree exterior cladding tilt and also cover up the wire that came from the wall. This way, I could reuse the existing drill hole and still achieve my goal of securing the doorbell in place. The modified bracket did exactly what it was intended to do – it worked perfectly.
