Nest Camera USB Cable Wall Plate

I required a custom solution to connect my Nest outdoor camera to existing wiring behind a standard wall plate. After an exhaustive search, I was unable to find a suitable wall plate that matched my needs. To overcome this challenge, I decided to modify the "Blank Wall Outlet Plate" design from arpruss. With some creative adjustments, I managed to add a hole for the flat USB cable, enabling it to pass through the plate. Additionally, I carefully removed excess material from the back of the plate to ensure it would fit snugly over the junction box and maintain a flush finish against the wall. The original design was completely flat, which presented a significant obstacle that needed to be addressed. Please note that to successfully install this modified plate, you will need to trim your USB cable to facilitate its passage through the hole in the plate. This modification may potentially void your warranty, so proceed with caution and take full responsibility for any consequences.
