This is a straightforward ring designed to envelop the second-generation Nest thermostat. I was looking for an uncomplicated solution to conceal the thermostat/wall transition where some paint had begun to peel off. It can be quite challenging to locate one on sale, especially a plain model like this. It installs effortlessly by pulling the main part of the thermostat body away from the Nest's back plate and slipping it over the back plate. No tools are required for this process.
