Nespresso screw removal tool

While disassembling my Nespresso coffee machine, I hit a roadblock when trying to remove the base's screws: their oval heads made it nearly impossible to unscrew them. Some screws were recessed by mere millimeters in my machine, while others were recessed by several centimeters; attempting to remove the deeper ones with pliers was futile, as it had been for the others - you'd need a specialized tool, available either at a Nespresso repair shop or online for around $10. To overcome this hurdle, I measured one of the already removed screws and designed this printable bit, adding an optional handle groove as a Customizer option. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Kossel Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Be sure to have sufficient infill around the screw socket or it will strip on the first try. Also, use a hard material; while PLA is acceptable, it may strip easily. See below for a workaround! Post-Printing Ensure that the print has cooled down before removing it! It might be easy to deform such a small hole, and maximum precision is necessary to make the tool work without modifications. If you find the hole to be too tight, either enlarge the margin via the Customizer or use the trick I prefer: remove one of the screws on your machine using pliers, taking your time and being patient, as this will save you a lot of time further on. Heat the head of the screw with a lighter until it's hot enough to melt the material you printed the bit with. Less is better in this case - you can always heat the screw up some more if it isn't hot enough, but you'll have to reprint the bit if you melt it too much. Rotate the screw to match the socket in the bit as close as possible, and gently press it down into it. This will cause the socket to melt slightly around the head of the screw, resulting in a tighter grip. Let the assembly cool down and remove the screw as gently as possible. The bit will now fit better; if it gets stripped, simply repeat the process.
