Nespresso pod gasket mold for OriginaLine pods
thingiverse
For fans of Nespresso's line of coffee makers who prefer to fill their own pods. Due to a combination of everyday wear and tear on older machines and the hard plastic construction of many fillable pods, Nespresso machines may tend to leak behind the pod resulting in low espresso volumes and poor extraction. This form allows you to create your own reusable silicone gaskets for use with Nespresso OriginaLine-compatible pods. After printing, reservoirs can be filled with clear or colored silicone caulk using a kitchen/bath caulk that contains acetic acid. Use a flat edge to scrape off excess caulking after filling reservoirs. Gaskets cure enough to be removed after a couple of hours but may remain tacky unless left overnight or equivalent time. In my experience, the silicone doesn't stick to ABS plastic. For best results, clear excess surface material from around and within the gasket perimeter before removing gaskets from the mold.
