Nespresso Coffee Machine Automator
thingiverse
This project revolutionizes coffee making by utilizing a combination of 3D printed components, precise measurements, and prototypes. The system integrates an Arduino UNO/Mega microcontroller with the adafruit motor shield, two stepper motors - a standard 28byj-48 model and a CD ROM drive stepper motor - and M3 screws. The setup is completed by a Nespresso coffee machine. I have successfully connected the Arduino to the adafruit motor shield using the included jumper, and powered them with a 5V phone charging adapter connected to a Sonoff smart switch. This enables me to control the coffee making process using my Google Home device. Once the Sonoff turns on the power, a short code runs automatically, utilizing predetermined constants since the Arduino is turned off until it needs to make coffee.
