Added a small switch-hole at the bottom to accommodate a miniature switch. Since I was utilizing a USB controller for my build, I had to directly solder the leads onto the Pi Zero's USB pads. However, I wanted to maintain the ability to use the USB if needed, so I incorporated a minuscule (3mm, I believe) switch that would allow me to toggle between the controller interface and any other device connected via USB. My print quality in the image is subpar, as I was fine-tuning a new printer at the time and used it as a test piece to see if the adapter would fit. The original creator assumed it would only be compatible with the original NES controllers, but it indeed fits modern USB ones as well. Note: If you're using low-cost USB controllers from China, the D-pad is unreliable... The final images demonstrate step-by-step instructions on how to rectify this issue. I purchased sticky-back craft foam from Michael's and cut small squares, then employed a razorblade to trim them down to approximately 1-2mm in height. I inserted these into the angles of the D-pad, which resolved the problem and allowed the controller to function flawlessly. I have also included photographs illustrating how I wired the controller.
