My espresso machine was not pumping water after being in storage for a couple of years. I've tried putting the water tank on and taking it off, opening and closing the capsule lever to "prime" the pump, but it didn't work. I fixed it by forcing water through the pump. What you'll need: This print 15mm inner diameter PVC tube, about 1ft long or so - can be purchased in a hardware store Something to use as a plunger with that tube, I used Xacto knife handle (with blade removed); a pen might work How to fix it: Attach the PVC tube to the printed adapter. Take off the water tank and insert the adapter where the tank connects to the machine (see photo). Fill the tube with cold water. I used my milk frothing pitcher to make it easier. Insert the tip of the plunger into the PVC tube. Turn the machine on, wait until it's ready. Press the "Lungo" button, push the plunger further into the tube while the machine is "brewing". Take the plunger out, replenish the water in the tube. Try running the machine with the plunger out. If you see the machine sucking up water from the tube - press "Lungo" again to stop brewing - you're done. If not, repeat steps 6-8.
