NES Controller Tree Ornament
thingiverse
I wanted to create a unique NES controller as a Christmas tree decoration, but none of the existing designs caught my eye. I thought about modifying another project, but most of them were tailored for functional controllers. I'm releasing this design as a single STL file. The model was built with separate button objects, so if there's enough interest, I can also provide individual files. The design is based on dimensions found through Google searches and is scaled in inches, which means you'll likely need to scale it up. You can either increase the size by 25.4 times or adjust it to your desired size - my print was done at 15x. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Select Mini Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.175mm Layer Height, 0.4mm nozzle Infill: 20% Notes: I added supports because the controller printed with the back facing down and the loop for the hanger was slightly elevated. The ornament was primed, masked, and painted after printing. The faceplate I created is specifically scaled to my ornament size (when printed at 72dpi). You're probably better off making your own faceplate, especially since Thingiverse will convert it to a JPG. Nonetheless, I've included the image in case it's of use.
With this file you will be able to print NES Controller Tree Ornament with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on NES Controller Tree Ornament.
